MJBizCon Back in Full Swing for 2023 Backed by expanding international markets and a new official smoking section, MJBizCon seemingly returned to its pre-pandemic glory in 2023. Make no mistake about it, the cannabis world was in Las Vegas last week. According to MJBizCon, 30,000 cannabis professionals from all over the globe descended on Sin City to see the industry’s latest and greatest. They weren’t disappointed. NCAA reform: Baker’s radical plan, the cost of paying players and the impact across the Pac-12 footprint LAS VEGAS — NCAA president Charlie Baker took his case for reform to the public on Wednesday. It’s proactive but defensive, impressively creative but rooted in desperation.“We need to be able to anticipate where conversations are going and to try to get this big, huge, diverse (association) with 2,000 members … to a place where they’re talking about stuff that’s common and not just responding and reacting to other people’s agendas,” Baker said Wednesday during a hotly anticipated appearance at the Sports Business Journal’s In...
