The beer cans will be ones that specifically aren't Anheuser-Busch brands, rather a St. Louis-based White Ale, according to the company. The protests come as PETA accused Budweiser of "secretly severing the Clydesdales’ tailbones" in a video released earlier this year. PETA is calling on Budweiser to "to modernize and end" such a practice. Close Thanks for signing up! A prohibition on diversity curriculum in public schools was the focus of debate Wednesday in a Missouri House committee, as lawmakers heard testimony on the Senate version of “parents bill of rights” legislation.Sen. Andrew Koenig, a Manchester Republican and the bill’s sponsor, said the legislation doesn’t explicitly ban “critical race theory” but instead describes concepts that would be banned. One such idea is “that individuals of any race, ethnicity, color, or national origin are inherently superior or inferior.”Koenig testified Wednesday that his son’s friend was separated by race and taught about racial oppression in class. This is the type of lesson he is trying to stop, he said.Rep. Maggie Nurrenbern, D-Kansas City, said “as an educator of 13 years” she had never seen children separated by race.“There are a lot of unintended consequences to legislation we pass, and my fear is that we would tie the hands of educators who are just doing their best to educate our students and t...Judge blocks rules intended to protect nation's waterways

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A federal judge on Wednesday temporarily blocked a federal rule in 24 states that is intended to protect thousands of small streams, wetlands and other waterways throughout the nation.U.S. District Judge Daniel L. Hovland in Bismarck, North Dakota, halted the regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers pending the outcome of a lawsuit filed by the 24 states, most of which are led by Republicans. The regulations were finalized in December 2022, repealing a rule implemented during President Donald Trump's administration but thrown out by federal courts. Jamal Murray’s waited to be back in the postseason spotlight since the Bubble. But before he and the No. 1 seeded Nuggets return there Sunday at 8:30 p.m. for Game 1, he had to address the elephant in the room.It was two years ago, exactly, that Murray’s left knee crumpled on a drive late in a game at Golden State. Until he was asked about it following Wednesday’s practice, he hadn’t thought about the anniversary.“Appreciate it,” Murray quipped to a reporter who brought it to his attention.Murray’s done his best to move beyond the devastating ACL tear that robbed the Nuggets of two golden postseason chances. He said he does his best not to think about his past, tricking his mind into thinking both knees are equally steady.“Two good legs,” he said confidently. But as he approaches this version of the playoffs, there’s another injury that he can’t get out of his mind. Murray was dogged by a right thumb sprain the final few weeks of the regular season, and he said it’s still an issue as ...Joe O’Biden? In Ireland, president wonders why anyone leaves

It’s beautiful.”Biden’s mother’s family comes from this corner of Ireland, and he appeared overjoyed to take a break from Washington’s grind to dive into his Irish heritage, which he often cites as a driving force in his public and private life. The buoyant president popped into several shops and restaurants in Dundalk’s town square, and he stretched over barricades to shake hands, make small talk and pose for pictures.
